Stress is a pain, which comes to tell me there is something I need to change.
Stress is our creation of wrong thoughts. It has an effect on our efficiency, memory power, decision power and hence our performance.
Stress has an impact on our physical and emotional well-being. And hence any amount of stress is damaging.
Targets, Pressures, Deadlines, Exams are natural, but Stress is our CHOICE.
Stress is equal to PRESSURE (Situations) divided by RESILIENCE (Inner Strength). Today we have ignored the denominator. Because we have changed the equation to Stress is equal to pressure. We think -' it is natural to get hurt when someone says anything that we don't approve of.'
Things are going to happen outside. We haven’t learned to take care of ourselves. We have to understand that Pressure that is the situations/problems are not in my control. But how I react to my problem is in my control.
Today we are even scared to be happy. We hear ourselves saying,’ Don’t be so happy, you don’t know what is on another end.’ Thus, we are limiting our happiness. When the situation is favorable, we are happy and when it is not, we get stressed out. We have conditioned our happiness depending on outside situation. The more situations are getting challenging, people are becoming more unpredictable. So, we have accepted stress as natural whereas it is happiness that is natural.
My first responsibility in any situation is to first take charge of my state of mind because that is the only thing which is in my control.
Responsibility- My ability to respond in any situation. And that is the only thing that is in my control.
